WoW 64 Bit Client Test

WoW 64 Bit Client Test

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Public Test\).
Kada sve to uradite moći ćete da testirate 64 bitnu verziju World of Warcrafta, na PTR serverima.

WoW 64 Bit Client Test

World of Warcraft koristi previše memorije, neće imati više problema.

WoW Developers this year give us a nice present. World of Warcraft 64 Bit client version! What excatly do you need to use the advantage of 64 bit WoW client, and what it will bring you better then the 32 bit client that every player use at this moment. We have worked hard to answer you that question, since Blizzard give players a chance to test 64 bit client on Public Test Realm!

WoW 64 Bit Client Test

If you want to try WoW 64 Bit Client, you will need to have 64 Bit Operating System (Windows XP / Vista or 7 64 bit version), Installed latest PTR Client, and to download WoW 64 bit client that you gonna extract to WoW PTR Folder (example C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Public Test\).
When you do those steps, you will be able to Test WoW 64 bit Client on PTR Servers. You can check our results that we done on next PC Configuration:

The low Settings brings us 10 FPS more then 32 bit client and with Ultra we get only 5 FPS but enough to see that we have some interesting differances with currently 64 Bit client that is in the development! This is the great news, and we should except better performance in the future!

By Default Windows gives only 2GB free for proccess, rest of 2GB is for Operating System. For 64 Bit Windows, the 32 application that have /LARGEADDRESSAWARE may use maximum of 4 GB, without that option they still can use only 2 GB. 64 bit Application with /LARGEADDRESSAWARE can use 8 TB of memory! And we wanted to test do we gonna have Crash like the old times when WoW use too much memory, so we couldn't use some addons. We manage to install 100 addons from Curse client and fly around Outland and Northrend where in the end we landed in Dalaran with 3216 MB Memory Usage! The game Worked like charm, without crash. So this is a great news for players that are using too much addons, and playing the games over 8 hours a day.

WoW 64 Bit Client Test
In the end this is the first look of WoW 64 Bit client, that we have given for test, and there are bugs, that Blizzard already working to fix them, voice chat is disabled and not working, that tell us that there is more to work on it, and that those results are not the last one that we gonna see. Maybe it goes way better!
